Customer Service at Amazon Australia: English Communication, Sales & Customer Orientation
As a Customer Service Agent, you’ll be the first point of contact for Amazon's diverse customer base across Australia. You will respond to enquiries, resolve challenges, and introduce new products and offers, all through clear, friendly, and professional communication in English. Your customer focus, adaptability, and sales mindset will be vital in ensuring every customer receives tailored support and expert guidance, further strengthening Amazon’s reputation for service and innovation.
Key Responsibilities: Delivering Exceptional Service, Sales, and Communication
- Respond promptly to customer queries via phone, email, and live chat, always maintaining a friendly, clear, and professional manner in English.
- Understand and assess individual customer needs, offering helpful advice and tailored product or service suggestions to enhance satisfaction and drive brand loyalty.
- Identify and promote relevant Amazon products and solutions to support sales targets and contribute to the company’s growth.
- Manage challenging conversations with empathy, patience, and a commitment to resolving issues positively and efficiently.
- Accurately document customer interactions and feedback in Amazon’s CRM systems for follow-up and process improvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex customer issues and continuously improve both service and sales processes.
- Represent Amazon’s inclusive values, upholding the brand with professionalism and respect in every customer interaction.
Essential Skills for Amazon Australia CS Agents: English, Sales, Communication & Customer Focus
- Excellent verbal and written English skills for engaging, effective communication with customers from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience in customer service, sales, or other client-facing roles is highly regarded.
- Confidence and skill in sales conversations, highlighting appropriate Amazon products and offers to suit customer needs.
- Strong customer orientation, attentive listening, and a proactive approach to resolving enquiries on first contact.
- Adaptability and excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple customer requests simultaneously.
Preferred Background: Experience in Customer Service, Sales or E-commerce
- Previous work in e-commerce, retail, or digital services is an advantage.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and digital communication tools.
- Demonstrated success in exceeding customer satisfaction targets or sales metrics.
