Account Management in Retail: Sales, Customer Relationships & Strategic Growth
As a Retail Account Manager, you will manage a portfolio of retail client accounts, ensuring product visibility, optimising in-store performance, and acting as the main liaison between clients and our company. By proactively analysing client needs, delivering tailored sales solutions, and monitoring market trends, you’ll help position our retail partners for continued success.
Main Responsibilities: Drive Sales, Strengthen Partnerships & Maximise Retail Potential
- Develop and maintain robust relationships with key retail clients, acting as their trusted point of contact and advocate.
- Identify opportunities to expand product ranges, boost sales, and enhance brand presentation within each account’s retail locations.
- Conduct regular store visits and meetings to ensure compliance with agreed merchandising standards and promotional activities.
- Analyse sales data, track KPIs, and report insights to consistently improve account performance and identify growth opportunities.
- Work with cross-functional teams to address client inquiries, resolve operational challenges, and ensure seamless retail execution.
- Support the rollout of new products, campaigns, or initiatives, ensuring effective in-store implementation and staff training when needed.

Essential Skills: Retail Account Management, Sales, Communication & Client Focus
- Strong verbal and written English skills for clear, effective communication with clients and internal teams.
- Demonstrated experience in sales, retail, or account management with a proven ability to build lasting business relationships.
- Commercial awareness and confidence in presenting solutions aligned to client needs and market demands.
- Data-driven mindset – comfortable interpreting reports and sales trends to guide decision making.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple accounts and tasks simultaneously.
- Adaptability, people skills, and a collaborative approach in a fast-changing retail environment.
Preferred Background: Retail Sales, Account Management or FMCG Sector Experience
- Experience working within retail, consumer goods, or fast-moving product sectors is highly regarded.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms, POS systems, or retail analytics tools is an advantage.
- History of exceeding sales targets or demonstrating tangible account growth outcomes.
