Customer-Focused Service & Sales: Communication, Engagement & English Proficiency
In this client-facing position, you will deliver accurate product and service information, identify customer needs, and promote the full range of offerings in a modern retail environment. You'll act as both a problem-solver and a brand ambassador, always striving for high levels of customer orientation and relationship building.
Main Responsibilities: Customer Engagement, Issue Resolution & Retail Sales
- Welcome customers to the store with a friendly, approachable, and inclusive attitude.
- Assist customers by answering product-related and general queries in clear, fluent English.
- Promote and recommend products and services that fit the customer’s needs, supporting the store’s sales targets.
- Address concerns or complaints promptly, offering solutions that prioritise customer satisfaction.
- Facilitate smooth transactions, returns, and exchanges in accordance with company policies.
- Keep up-to-date with product features, promotions, and company procedures to provide accurate guidance.
- Collaborate with team members to create a seamless and supportive environment for customers and colleagues.
- Ensure compliance with company standards on diversity, inclusion, and ethical conduct in all customer interactions.
Essential Skills: Customer Orientation, English Communication, Sales Approach & Teamwork
- Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
- Proven customer orientation—listening actively, empathising, and responding effectively to customer needs.
- Sales acumen, with a demonstrable ability to identify opportunities and guide customers confidently to purchase decisions.
- Good organisational skills and an ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy retail setting.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, contributing positively to shared goals.
- Adaptability and openness to learning in an evolving environment.
Preferred Experience: Retail, Customer Service & Sales Environment
- Experience in retail, hospitality, or any customer-facing or sales position is an advantage.
- Familiarity with retail technology, such as point-of-sale systems or CRM tools, is beneficial.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding customer satisfaction and sales targets is a plus.
