Operations Support Officer

We are hiring an Operations Support Officer – Marine & Shipping to execute and support daily vessel and cargo operations across dry bulk, tanker, and container trades. You will manage operational data, coordinate voyage execution, and control freight and port cost workflows with high accuracy and discipline. The role directly impacts operational reliability, cost control, and execution quality across marine logistics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute daily marine and shipping operations for dry bulk, tanker, and container cargoes.

  • Coordinate vessel operations from fixture through loading and final discharge.

  • Support chartering and trading desks during fixture execution and voyage operations.

  • Liaise with brokers, terminals, agents, and port authorities to ensure smooth vessel clearance.

  • Maintain accurate and timely updates in CTRM and Marine ERP systems.

  • Monitor vessel schedules, laycan, port line-ups, and cargo movements to prevent delays.

  • Coordinate freight, port costs, payments, invoicing, and cost tracking with strict follow-up.

  • Prepare voyage estimates including distance, fuel consumption, and time calculations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field; maritime studies is a plus.

  • Hands-on experience in marine, shipping, or freight operations.

  • Exposure to dry bulk or tanker operations is essential; container shipping experience is a plus.

  • Experience with Marine ERP platforms and solid understanding of CTRM systems.

  • Familiarity with voyage and distance tools such as ShipNet, IMOS, Dataloy, or similar.

  • Strong Excel, reporting, and data-handling skills.

  • Fluent English with strong coordination and communication abilities.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
