Senior Sales
Role Description
Thorough, up-to-date, and in-depth understanding of the freight forwarding industry. In this role you spend most of the time in customer-facing activities, hunting for new business, and working hand in hand with the Operations personnel on the same customers.
Key Responsibilities
• Generate new business opportunities from prospect generation to winning business.
• Prepare quotations and present to clients using effective sales and negotiation techniques.
• Onboard new business accounts and resolve customer complaints in liaison with other departments.
• Monitor marketplace pricing and products and stay up to date with regulations.
• Collaborate with the Operations department to fulfill RFQ and monitor customer shipments.
• Collaborate with management to meet sales goals.
Qualifications:
• 2–5 years of experience in the same position (freight forwarding industry). Experience in both import and export freight sales is a plus.
• Persuasive speaking, empathy, adaptability, and ability to use positive language.
• Decision making & problem-solving skills.
• They must be flexible, trustworthy, and demonstrate a high level of business judgment, focus, and commitment to be successful in this role.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and achieve targets.
• Proficiency in English.
